House Approves Telework Bill - On June 3, 2008, the House voted to pass H.R. 4106, which would require agencies to develop a program allowing employees to telework at least 20 percent of every two-week work period. In addition agencies would have to designate a senior-level employee to serve as a telework managing officer
National Telework Week - Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA) sent a letter to President Bush in October 2008 asking for the designation of "National Telework Week" as well as introduced a resolution in the House in support of "National Telework Week"
H.R. 4106, Telework Improvements Act of 2008 - Congressman Danny Davis introduced the Telework Improvements Act of 2008 on November 7, 2007 that calls for improvement of telework programs in Federal agencies and incorporating telework in continuity of operations planning
H.R. 6495, Transportation and Housing Choices for Gas Price Relief Act of 2008 - On July 15, Representative Earl Blumenauer introduced the Transportation and Housing Choices for Gas Price Relief Act of 2008 to authorize programs and activities to support transportation and housing options that will assist American families in reducing transportation costs.
